Welcome to Banbury Place’s Mural Art Gallery! The Artist murals that were once on the outside windows of a downtown vacant building at 2 South Barstow Street have been preserved and now displayed for the public to enjoy at Banbury Place – 800 Wisconsin St., Building 6 – during business hours. Banbury Place underwent its renaissance – transformation 20 years ago from was once a Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Plant into now a mix of offices, art studios, daycare, restaurant, apartments, manufacturing, self-storage and warehousing. Banbury Place encompasses 1,900,000 square feet and is the home to over 135 businesses.

Belly Dancing is for women of all ages, shapes and sizes - you name it! That is what is so wonderful about this dance form. It is a celebration of being woman. Plus, it's important to keep learning.</p> <p>The Shimmy Sisters are available to perform at company, charity and family events including weddings and festivals. Laura from EC Shimmy offers 6 week session classes at the studio, along with private classes for companies, women's events and bridal showers.</p> <p>Laura began her dance training in 1985 studying classical ballet in California and continued training with classical studios in Minneapolis. In addition to ballet/pointe, she trained in jazz, tap, modern, Irish step dance, and belly dance. Laura operated her own studios for 13 years. In 2005, she began teaching adult belly dance, and started the Shimmy Sister dance troupe, and Hippy Chicks belly dancers.</p>
